Residential Wiring

Daley Electric Company has wired many houses over the years. We are not competitive in today’s market. We have a standard that we wire houses to. We wire houses as they are for our family. Every room has its own circuit for receptacles and a separate circuit for lighting. Special systems such as home theater or various computer stations have their own circuit as well. All receptacles for electronic equipment are surge suppressor type. All receptacles and switches are specification grade not residential grade. The Refrigerator will have a separate circuit on a surge suppressor outlet. Kitchens have each counter outlet on a separate circuit. The house is wired to meet the code standards plus it is wired for convenience. Each level has a sub panel. The basement or Garage panel is the main panel and serves the location and the HVAC equipment.

The 2nd floor panel serves the bedrooms and all the equipment on the 2nd floor. This is the same for subsequent floors. There is an attic panel. This panel serves the air handler plus local lighting and receptacles. This will enable any future circuits close to the attic to be easily fed from the attic panel. The attic has ventilation so the environment is kept cool. The attic and basement are supplied with lighting levels sufficient to service any equipment in the area. There are several outdoor receptacles placed as per code plus where they make sense for the home owner. There are receptacles in closets for charging batteries on cordless vacuums. Many convince outlets have USB ports for charging electronics. The main service panel is a panelboard, not a load center. The breakers are bolt in. The panel is mounted on a Black backboard next to other electrical equipment such as a transfer switch for a backup generator. There will be a whole house surge suppressor with replaceable surge modules with failure indication. All electrical equipment is neatly wired and all wiring is tagged. The panel directory is typed and all electrical equipment is labeled. The outdoor meter has a main breaker integrated for emergency shut down. The house is wired to serve the home owner and the people who will be servicing the structure. During the life of the structure the extra costs of this efficient effective wiring system will be recouped because the system will last longer than a lifetime with no problems.
